Employee Highlight October 2022 – Noemi, Rad Tech
Radiologic technologists (Rad Techs) are vital in any emergency room. Their work is mainly behind the scenes, but it dramatically impacts patient outcomes and the successful operation of our ERs.
Professionals working in this field require a two-fold skillset that involves not only technical training on imaging technology and an intricate understanding of human anatomy but also excellent interpersonal skill to deal with patients one-on-one.
Given the importance of Rad Techs or Radiologic Technologists in our healthcare field, it should be no surprise that we’ve chosen to highlight Noemi, one of our expert Rad Techs at Post Oak ER.
Noemi is known for her attention to detail and ability to listen and take queues from patients, helping them feel comfortable and at ease.
Those of us who have the pleasure of working with her daily know she goes the extra mile to improve radiology patients’ experience in our emergency room.

Let’s Meet Noemi!
Q/ How long have you been in the industry, and what do you do for Post Oak ER?
A/ I’ve been doing radiology for 20 years. I help with CT Scans; X-rays, and I help assist all of the staff at Post Oak.
Q/ How long have you been part of our team at Post Oak ER?
A/ I started working here a year ago.
Q/ Tell us a little about your background
A/ My dad is Argentinian, and my mom is Costa Rican, so I am bilingual.
Q/ What made you decide to get into this industry?
A/ I’ve always had a passion for helping people, and I wanted to give back and do more for people with my profession.
Q/ Do you have any hobbies? What do you like doing in your spare time?
A/ Traveling and fine dining. I even have a complete list on my phone of restaurants to try and places I’ve already been to. I also have a big passion for scuba diving or just anything being near or in the water.
Q/ What’s your favorite spot you’ve ever scuba-dived?
A/ My favorite spot was Grand Cayman and Cozumel.
Q/ What is your favorite restaurant in Houston?
A/ Ruggles Black.
Q/ Favorite way to spend a Sunday
A/ On an airplane traveling somewhere…
Q/ What do you love most about working here?
A/ My wonderful coworkers and the sweet patients.
Q/ What do you feel sets Post Oak ER apart from other emergency rooms you’ve worked at?
A/ In my opinion, from all the other ERs I’ve worked for, what strikes me the most is how caring we are towards the patients. We remember their names, and they know ours. We take the time to listen to them and make them feel comfortable during their visit. I think that is why they keep coming back.
